SRFwalrus a worldwide movement
I just sent this e-mail to all my SRF friends around the world. You can use it or make your own,
but you my find some valuable ideas.

Dear SRF friends

Last year, about thirty monastics left the ashram. Many lay members also had to stop working for SRF -- some of them were fired! Two years ago, Brother Devananda, gave an excellent talk at the convocation about the relationship with oneself. I couldn't help to applaud his brilliant ideas, his authenticity and courage to open a discussion about this crucial issue. As a result, the organization wants to get read of him sending him to India, and as you have probably noticed he was not in the speaker panel this last convocation. These issues and much more are being discussed in a message board with the following address:

pub78.ezboard.com/bsrfwalrus

I do not agree with everything that is being said there, nor will you. However, there are some postings that are very insightful and perspectives that are a must to know -- if we are to play an active part in Master's work. I suggest to do what Sri Yukteswar advised: "Be like the ant which takes the grains of sugar and leaves the grains of sand untouched."

I ask you to please pass this address to other devotees, around the world, but make sure they have been in the path for at least 15 years. In other words, this is just for adults! Unless you are solidly established in the path, the information there may hurt more than help. But, please share the address with older devotees, these are crucial times and we, older members, need to be well informed.

I recommend you pay special attention to two subjects in that message board.
1) The teachings and ideals
2) Core Issues

I also encourage you to upload postings and to participate in the discussion, it is fun and creative. The board may have been created by some ex-monks and perhaps also some of the employees that left -- but, no body really knows.

In Master's friendship -- so and so
Note: You can also access the board by typing SRFWalrus @ezboard.com And then you select there the srfwalrus board. You DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER.

Other Countries
Dear EZbord Op.
SRF students from Spanish countries are already visiting the board. However, they feel shy to write in English, because their English is too limited. This can be solved very easily...

I suggest that you create at the main page the following subject:

"SRFwalrus para los devotos españoles y latinoamericanos"

A short introduction to the devotees can read like this:

Bienvenido a participar

I translate for you (approximately):

We are happy to have you with us. Master said that churches should keep abreast of times (you can find this in the lessons) We warmly invite you to participate with your ideas so that together we may be able to create the SRF for the 21st Century -- the SRF we all want that will make right honor to our great Guru. What we discuss here in this forum requires certain spiritual maturity and therefore, we ask you to please do NOT share this internet address with devotees that are new to the path. The time we suggest is a minimum of 15 years, so he/she is firmly established in the path.

As they click there they can go to a page that could start with the following crucial subjects

1) Problemas en las enseñanzas (Problems in the teachings)
2) El monasticismo versus la vida del hombre espiritual en el mundo (Monasticism vs. householder's spiritual life)
3) Los problemas de la organización -- ¿porqué 30 monásticos abandonaron el ashram el último año? (Problems in the organization -- why thirty monastics abandoned the Ashram last year? )
4) Los problemas de las lecciones en español (problems in the Spanish Lessons)
5) ¿Quien debería suceder a Daya Mata? (who should be the president after Daya Mata?)
6) Problemas que usted ha tenido al aplicar las enseñanzas (Problems you have encountered in trying to apply the teachings)

The same can be done for other languages, but I do not know other languages to help you with that. However, I suggest that other devotees can help you in the same way I'm doing here.

I guarantee that my Spanish is fairly good, and what I have translated for you is accurate.
Sincerely -- No problema

SRF / YSS
Dear Walrus

It would be a GOOD IDEA to have a separate sections on YSS , as Srf is called in India. They have different issues altogether . If a section is put up , it might attract devotees from that part of the world

Thank you

I added the spanish language section. Please add topics as you see fit. Someone help me understand when they are not part of what we are trying to do here.

Dear Ez Board Op.
Thanks for adding the Spanish section. I will inform you in this section if any posting there does not fit into the tradition and goals of this board.
Sincerely
