Organizational Credibility
The following are quotes from the book The Power Principle. I have more to post about organizational communication, credibility, honor and respect, but this is a start:

Quote:
Credibility is not about looking good, it is about being good.

Quote:
Sometimes we miss the obvious--that trust, or lack of it, is the core problem. In surveys we have done of executives throughout the country, the number one factor inhibiting improved quality is lack of trust, meaning, "We don't trust senior management." It is often experienced but it's not often talked about. I had one senior executive in one of my leadership seminars who had worked most of his life in a major airline company. He said some of the executives had recently tried to bring the trust problem to the surface, using data from a culture audit that an outside consulting company had completed. Every organization has discussables and undiscussables, and the trust issue was an undiscussable for this company. This group tried to bring the issue up directly with the CEO but they were brushed aside. After a while they bluntly stated in a senior staff meeting that they thought there were significant problems in the company with trust. The CEO just exploded, "We don't have problems of trust! I don't want to hear about this anymore. I trust that you people will do exactly what I say! Don't bring it up again." At last report, this CEO still has not dealth with the issue, and continues to shoot the messengers who dare to bring bad news from the front lines.

Quote:
Quality is impossible if people are afraid to tell the truth. - this quote in the abovementioned book is attributed to W. Edwards Deming, the pioneer in the field of quality control

Quote:
...if you don't deal with the problems, they'll just go underground.

In the coming weeks, I hope to elaborate on how lack of, both, trust and communication, lead up to the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster and how SRF, without course corrections, may end up the same way. There are many many amazing parallels.

I’m going to print out 10,000 leaflets of the above quotes, hire a C-17 cargo plane (can you do that?) and drop the leaflets over Mother Center. Then I am going to jump the fence and tape these quotes to the windshield of each of their cars and spray paint the quotes on the old hotel building. How about painting them on the tennis court too so that the matas can see them from their offices?

Credibility is not about looking good, it is about being good.

Give it to 'em AumBoy!

Great idea!
I like the image from the Harry Potter book: thousands of thousands of letters bearing the message flying in through letter slots, doors, windows, chimneys. And they keep coming in regardless of attempts to stop them. Millions of letters. And then we could dress up Raja Begum as Hagrid, have him bash down the front door and then bellow, "Ah [insert appropriate name here], ya great prune!

"..if you don't deal with the problems, they'll just go underground."

So true, so true.

Email Floods
A modern version is the simple email flood. Just send them these messages all the time. They can problem stop that from some of us, but not all the world!

Some of the email addresses of the monastics were published here somewhere I thought but I can't find them. Does anyone remember?

Re: a few
Soul,
You have been gone a while! Jill got a promotion for her loyal work in the Office of the President. She is now Sr. Preeti / "Friendship; pleasure in God". See
pub78.ezboard.com/fsrfwal...D=32.topic
She is probably preeti@yogananda-srf.org

This lady of pleasure in God is the worst example of what rises to the top in a cult like SRF. We should all pray she some day takes over. Her vast problems will mean the quick destruction of SRF and allow the rebirth of an organization to help publish Yogananda's teachings without assuming Guru-ship.
