One way to look at Walrus is that it is a graduate school for people who have a serious interest in either kriya, Yogananda, or the future of SRF/YSS. New people come to walrus and I repeat here that God is the author of kriya, Yogananda, and SRF. Films such as those brought to our attention by Auretta add depth to the understanding of how God fashions great religious movements from various distinct personalities. To some these films may seem quirky and really odd given the times when they were made, but details like this are valuable.

Imagine, snippets of Sri Yukteswar, the wedding of Sri Nerode, Yogananda and entourage on the streets of New York. And what's with the guy in the Lawrence of Arabia costume at the wedding? Great stuff.

The guy with the Lawrence of Arabia costume is funny. Yogananda is theatrical in his delivery when emphasizing certain words. If these videos are from the early years it makes you wonder how many more videos must exist?

It appears Hamid Bey's life is as decorative as his custume, at first glance rather comical but a closer look reveals a deep and serious commitment to Truth.
