Hi Guests and All,
when the ayatollah overthrew the shah, israel was without oil for a few days
they got oil from mexico and other places since
the U.S. needs oil for our economy and maria shriver and arnold's 6 hummers, and all the hummers arnold has pushed for ten years.
so we go after pipelines through afghan and iraq nice oil fields that we protect while actually allowing/encouraging the looting of a six thousand year culture's art, and control or use of saudi and central asia...and indonesian....and venezulan.....and African....and oil anywhere

the Modern Jihad, see the book by this title by Loretta Napoleoni, resist the oligarchies that rule Muslim mid east staes and are supported by the west.

in reading Loretta Napoleoni's book this week, I realize that One Taste, etzchaim and Chrisparis and others are right.

So I jump now to the diplomacy thread seeking vision and steady progress ... see some of you there.....

realize that I am saying unequivically that it is not as I thought a week ago.
though the west is resource and wealth driven more than is healthy, for this world's family, the jihads in opposition to the west have motivations just as sordid.

yes, both sides want the other off the map
israel wants suicide idiots off the face of the earth to have some deserved peace
the jihads want the immense power and threats (we theatened the mid east with nuclear attack in the 1950's) from the U.S. to end
and players on both side have insatiable ambitions and we may say act with complete disregard for democratic values.
in the west, we break the "truths we hold self-evident," and have hardly included minorities a whole lot more than when they were slaves and not created equal.....and justifiably the jihads point to our short coming and say fu... your "democracy."

In the jihads they completely take 15-20 year olds and hone them into cost effective monsters that destroy civilzation to oppose the sometimes power mad west strategies to oppose terrorism

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

in regards to saving the worlds from fascism
both sides in their raw use of power and murder are a bit indistinguishable
madeline albright was caught in public saying one half million deaths was acceptable
yet as some of you point out this is war
