A little birdie told me
A little birdie told me that DM will step down and remain as sanghamata, while Vishwananda will assume her position. You didn't hear it from me though. –

SRF Walrus: We also receive a lot of news from inside SRF and the temples and centers. Since we don’t read our email that often the events sometimes pass us by before we read the announcements. We usually write people back and encourage people to post the messages directly on the board.

Of course if they are currently a monastic that is difficult since SRF monitors access to this board by those on its network. They even caught a few in the early days.

In this case DM did move Vishwananda into the general manager position, replacing Uma Mata but not herself. Even that didn’t last.

My understanding is that they moved Uma Mata back in as co-general manager. vishwananda is sick and the bad ladies wanted one of their own back in power again anyway.

Things might be moving faster than we think. Looks like another, larger wave of firings and monastics leaving is in the works. Vishwananda is on a leave of absence, and while some say it's illness, others say he's burned out ("large or small, we bury 'em all!").

If he winds up departing, watch still another wave of monastics toss in the towel. Last one to leave turn out the lights...

I believe Vishwananda is just sick. He has not left or taken a leave. As far as the layoffs they said last Christmas that there would be several layoffs. No one should be surprised. The first batch was just the easiest. They were judging the reaction from the membership and other employees. Since nothing much was said they will continue. As the wolves tear out individual sheep the other sheep just wait in the wings scared and hoping they escape.

No one will escape. Least of all those who remain employed by SRF. They will suffer the most.

Re Vishwa, I'm pretty sure it's not 'just sick', but we'll see, time tells all.

I believe Publications is about to be cut in half.
