shocked to find a message board full of cynicism
I was excited to find your site. I expected to find other's experiences with the SRF teachings and techniques. Instead I was shocked to find a message board full of cynicism and negativity. I assume my opinion will have no bearing on the function of your site, but being a devotee I feel compelled to give my opinion anyway. There are some positive comments on the board but you have to sift through so much negativity to find it, it's hardly worth it. Your site is doing a great disservice to potential devotees. If I would have seen your site before I signed up for the lessons, I would have turned and ran. Luckily, I didn't see your site or maybe it didn't exist then. So I was able to be blessed with the lessons and techniques which have been nothing but positive. I
could care less about how neurotic or power hungry the people at the mother center are. That has no bearing on my experience with my Guru's teachings. It's also laughable that some of your members characterize SRF as a cult. They have NEVER put any pressure on me to do anything. In fact, I've always been amazed how little they ask for money or how inexpensive the lessons were. We are all free to stop our association with them at any time. Anyone who thinks otherwise is insecure and has a long way to go in their spiritual as well as emotional growth.

In this world, it's hard to find things that are as truly heaven sent as Paramahansa Yogananda's teachings. It's sad that the cynicism of people such as the members of your discussion board are trying to find a way to taint them.
