Shadowman asked for more specifics about the behavior of some of them. One fact is that they protect her from people even seeing her and are very serious about it. I was once in a meeting with some SRF board members and a nun came in to report that Ma was on her way down to the meeting. A board member turned to me in a panic and said I must leave immediately! Immediately! Now! Go!

I of course could not be allowed to see Ma. Of course if you donate large sums of money or are a celebrity you may get to see her. But even the monastics don’t get to see her. Some of them have told me they saw her a few times in 20 years! When they do see her they sometimes witness her rudeness and mistreatment of those around her. This is the attitude we see so commonly in her lieutenants and comes from her own example. If you want to see what she is like, look to Sharana, Mridani, Jill, Uma, and others.

Reply 		Two personal recollections
It's interesting to me that you speak of Daya's rudeness. I had such an experience with her several years ago when I was ushering for the Mother Center Halloween event. As you know, Daya Mata sometiimes visits the event about an hour before the members are let in. On this evening, as she passed me, I said hello. She was virtually alone, with only one or two monastics preceeding far ahead of her. Only two feet away, close enough to touch her, she floated past me, totally ignoring me like a frozen iceberg. It gave me a strange unwelcome feeling that I'll never forget. Add to this another similar impression I had of her just before she began a satsanga that I was invited to. It never occurred to me until reading this message board what my reactions to her were all about.
