soulcircle Registered User (2/3/03 4:36 am) Reply	authority Guests and All, looking farther into ourselves is often on result of having people question us. chela2020 you have questioned me there is a response i can give it has to do directly and indirectly with authority and it has to do with love in areas of our life most of us have given yogananda authority in our lives, ......now or earlier in our lives and we all fall somewhere in the spectrum of... at one end constant questioning of authority to the other extreme of unquestioning obedience when i look into myself i also see an equally important aspect of our relationship to authority in my life it is often that i am comfortable in the shade of authority, even attacking those, or undermining those who confront the authority whose shade i am under in your awe of gurus chela2020 you stand in the shade of gurus/enlighted ones authority as i have done it is as natural as the earth spinning that you attack [via questions] those confronting the tree you take your shade under as i have done your are unaware of this as i have been these two different relations to authority are now on the table for discussion 1) where we all as individuals are currently in the spectrum of direct response to authority ...constant questioning, all the way to blind obediance 2) a position of some closeness to authority and a stance in opposition [opposition in the form of apparently benign questioning] to those who resist authority now the love is neglected if discussions are endless about the a-z of thought, argument and understanding of life balance only comes in when the guru, when the enlighted ones exude love and as our years pass we exude love even in yukteswar's writing, the dry, cold avatar reasoning and wisdom, he bowed to love, quoting "love rules the court" love is often elsewhere that in the posts on this board ~~~love is the broad healer for the pain in here~~~ ~~~the love we give ourselves, even in here, is a necessary gift and it is necessary for me to love myself, and i do circle
soulcircle Registered User (2/3/03 5:05 am) Reply	power Guests and All, Great power is in words, groups, individuals and organizations and in truth a few posts above mentions a monk left having been invovled with a woman, and in speaking to richmond folk six years ago, the present leader [vishwu] of srf lied a monk and a woman ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ this board exists in the context of srf's failures with those serving and particularly those serving right at mother center very loving people, are not listened to leave/are discarded ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ though there wasn't a walrus board in the twenties and thirties there was a powerful man....yogananda among other things he slept with a woman/women a monk and a woman/women ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ many have left over the years, many very recently long ago Dhira and Neruda left for reasons not totally unlike reasons that we leave ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ power tends not to be gentle not to be soft not to be tender not to be kind ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ why stay ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i too tend not to be gentle not to be soft not to be tender not to be kind yogananda had unlimited love and squandered it he wanted devotees, many he wanted the "last stray brother" to know he is coming back for him [with lessons? which exhort you to meditate "all" the time, on "holidays"...lessons that leave the majority of students and members with more guilt than the inquisition tried to laden its victims with] in the thirties swamis in india told him you are! a printing press religion they tried to remind him the guru-disciple relationship involves close individual customized path, each individual and his instruction unique yukteswar pleaded with him not to start YSS, india was already bathed in enough sects and ashrams and teachings yogananda had power, not always in balance with his immeasurable love and he liked more devotess more devotees more devotees he liked hilltops, ocean bluffs and blue watered pools of serenity and the mystique of being the mahatma's [gandhi's] mahatma so he ruled soul circle has realization, but it is not in balance with love he has more than had his say on this board and he won't shut up!! he wants more readers more readers more readers he wants the mystique of offering the premiere ideas on authority and power he even stands independent of any of yogananda's influence [power] and simply states the guru was not celibate the guru's critic and soulcircle is a mere bag of debauchery the farthest thing in the world from celibacy and realization friends who love him have told him, "let the srf walrus board go!!" there are enough voices on here his very best friend, watching him write post after post said why stay circle

I came back on this board because I loved and cared for those who are hurting, especially because the gossip that Nerode posted against Yogananda. But I have come to realize that people will believe what they want to believe, and many don't wish to ask for proof of any allegations against Yogananda. Here is the poem that I deleted as I was still working on it: The Guru’s Leaves As fall arrives, And the wind blows, Leaves begin to fall From the very branches That once held them so tight. Winter storms rampage Bringing fiercer winds Leaves fall more abundantly In colors of yellow, Orange, and red. Some fall close to the tree, Winds scatter others afar. Clinging to the branches are a few Silently waiting out each storm. By spring all remaining are One. This was inspired by watching the trees lose their leaves and how a few leaves still cling throughout the winter. God is the Guru, the guru is also kundalini, meditation, and the gurus on earth. The wind and storms are all the obstacles on the path that causes those to fall from any teaching or leave a guru, even God. The winds also mean a premature death, meaning dying before becoming Self-realized, not from leaving the guru. The colors are the many reasons why people leave. Leaves falling to the ground represent reincarnation, and how some are closer to God when they leave this earth, while others are farther away. Soulcircle, Are you writing of a specific incident or is this just your impression that the Wrights seem fearful of some dark secret becoming public? However all this turns out it is probably going to make for really interesting reading 100 years from now! ;-)

The bad ladies are incompetent in running an organization and know it. Of course most businesses are run poorly so it is just another indication of their immaturity that they would go to such lengths to try and hide it. The bad ladies are also not God-realized and the truth be known not even very advanced. Of course, again, most people are not! It is only their mistaken feeling that the organization is the central focus of Yogananda’s work and that they derive their authority from a myth of spiritual advancement that drives them to this fear of being found out. They must hide it at ALL costs. The costs are a bunch of broken devotees and a slow destruction of the great Yogananda’s reputation for those who buy into their SRF = Master view of things.

Not particularly one incident....there do seem to be many facets ...one former monastic who was in ashram a couple generations ago talks about William the Conquerer and his wife ..the wife outlived him and "destroyed" what he had built now this couple came back to us as Yogananda and Ananda Mata.....so there's some real mytho-history Member108, as you explain it, you speak for many of us, you find me in agreement with you. Moving on is going to be interesting the board can remain and grow as open discussion some will go forward, srf only the wake behind ships, large and small sailing on some will change aspects of srf, empowering householders to be more than second class kriyabans......we can imagine them creating a parallel board of directors that with minimal costs [which will be reported openly in annual statements], will creat online libraries with yogananda's complete original writings, and thorough comparision and listing of all changes a parrallel community that welcomes and walks in the srf srf = self-realization footsteps so i see those of you that will be the open, and the resulting truth and love and fellowship group/community walking in a new srf......self-realization footsteps what a gift to the world an online complete collection of his original writing, even the full tapes, including the two paragraphs he spoke about community at Lake Shrine in the last year of his life and including this hand-written letter i have from '33 saying to a president of a Yoga Institute, Sri Deva Ram Sukul, "let us unite heart and soul in bringing God and Yogoda into the world." a man he was visiting and corresponding with for the next 16 to 17 years, even telling Sukul how to market his book/s......even sending donations to Sukul Jason Becker has that had written letter to Sukul from about 1947 what a gift a new board of directors, you ALL, of the self-realization footsteps to empowerment and those leaving srf and going forward, with ships and bows entering seas of love and understanding.....high 5 and those carrying on the srf walrus board with its heartfelt high-minded purpose of support and openess You Go Girls.......You Go Guys feel the power of truth circle
