Generally speaking I believe, as of a few years ago, there were usually about 100 monks and 100 nuns. Is that right? Can anyone confirm?

Are you praying that the monastics stay or go? Is it your opinion that one choice would be better than another?

I don't know about anyone else's prayers in regards to the monastics leaving, but I pray only for the spiritual welfare of others, whether they are staying in Mother Center or leaving, and whether they are lay members or monastics.

Pray that they go, definately go. It is not very healthy for them, even if they don't see it. It is much like praying that your friends give up smoking. Many don't see how bad for them it really is, but quitting would be best.

Even the cruel and disturbed ones don't deserve to be in that environment.

I can understand what you are saying, but if you pray for everyone spirituality, then if they are going to grow spirituality, and if being in SRF is truly not the place for them to grow, then they will leave. I can't really judge for another person whether he/she is growing spiritually while in SRF or not. I know that I needed to be there because there were things that I needed to learn for my own spiritual growth, and when I learned those lessons, I left, but not before. So you see, a prayer for spiritual welfare, takes in a lot.
