This related to a discussion on writing to SRF to complain or try to bring problems to their attention.

HUM is right. You can't be too careful with these people [the SRF leadership] if your livelyhood depends on them. For example, monastics have their private mail opened without consent if the power people deem it to be suspiscious. If you come under suspiscion they will spy on you by every means at there disposal. [This includes listening to phone conversations] Ethics are never considered because SRF management feels it has a spiritual "Get out of jail free" card. In their twisted world, all things are acceptable if they "serve the work". People are disposable commodities to be used and discarded as circumstances dictate.
