New SRF Walrus Moderation
Hi all you happy walrii,

I just wanted to announce here that the SRF Walrus has been handed over to me as primary moderator.

For now, we're going to keep the ability to modify text, add pictures, etc., disabled since we've had people abuse those features. Also, people more tech savvy in those areas make their posts stand out more, and we don't feel that's very fair. We want to focus on information here, and base the worth of that information on its quality alone.

Feel free to add any feedback on this issue here, thank you. :)

Re: Yellowbeard the Balrog
Well, fortunately for you guys, you have the freedom now to complain about the moderator and to voice completely opposing views.

Balrog -- interesting how you paint everything as black & white. Different views that you feel are threatening are 'evil', and comforting views which you know are lies, are 'good'.

And how have you progressed from SRF thinking -- the organization you revolt against? You drop one type of cult ideology just to replace it with another and you call that progress.

Unlike your gurus that you grovel submissively before, I don't pretend to have the answers. I'm just saying look at alternate perspectives, even though they may be discomforting for you. You've been taught that opening up your mind to different ideas is wrong, all I'm saying is you should rethink the value of that.

Here's "Secret Wind's" Personal Information from the Walrus:

Occupation :: Alcoholic
Hobbies :: Getting liquored up, and trying to take over the Walrus.

Yellowbeard, the Walrus is no place for delusional alcoholics. Go back to the shadows.

And this comes from a guy that glorifies methamphetamine use with his username.

Moyma, I see you're still as stable as ever -- keep spinning those Kriyas.

Re: meth use---NOT!!!
Yellowbeard, No, you blazing idiot. Metheuse is my fanciful melding of "bemuse" and "Methusela". I am often bemused by the contents of the Walrus (although your stuff generally turns my stomach), and Methusela (Genesis 5:27) was the oldest person mentioned in the Bible, and the name has come to refer to any very old man.....I had no clue that some delusional fault-finders on this board (sadly, you're not the first) would find something negative in my name. Methamphetamine is nicknamed "speed", right? I vaguely remember a slogan, "speed kills." Well, so does rushing to judgment. At least it kills common sense.

Re: meth use---NOT!!!
Hey gang: Interesting that the title of this section is "purpose of this board". Judging from the very personal attacks in this section, it is sad to see the board degenerate into just another senseless blog controlled by nimnods who have nothing better to do than throw insults at each rather than discuss real issues. Just think how gleefully this kind of thing is viewed by the SRF monitors. They're winning.

Why does it matter who the moderator is? At least now we know who the moderator is and he (or she) is upfront, at least with that, and something about themselves. Sometimes, a couple of shots of a good brew brings forth ones real thoughts, rather than cloaking them behind a facade of hypocracy.

Soooo.....please, let's keep the board what it was begun for......the exposure of a cult.

In the meantime, get a life and have some fun.

brains in gear first, please
cussacat, put on your thinking cap and stop being so gullible! Yellowbeard is NOT the new monitor, you nimrod. He said in his own bio, "getting liquored up and trying to take over the Walrus." If there's one thing SRF should have taught you, it is to NOT take people's claims at face value. If this board is about anything, it's about thinking before leaping---get with the program.
