ONE HEART


Sitting at the feet of my beloved Guru,

My heart cries out:

Master, what have they done?

By changing your words

They have distorted your truths,

Pierced your hands and feet.

Upon your head, a crown of thorns

Suppresses your very thoughts.

Master, I hardly recognized you.



Please make them take you down

From this torture cross,

And I will remove your crown of thorns

And bathe your wounds

In aloe and in myrrh.

Then you can once again

Walk upon your hallowed earth.



I reached out and touched his holy feet,

And wiped his wounds with tears.

My heart began to fill with joy,

My body and soul, his bliss.

Then all at once I felt his hand

Enclosing in on mine.

Stepping down, he spoke these words,

"Come and walk with me."



Walking along his garden path,

We stopped beside the pond.

Looking into the shallow water,

We saw our reflections, One.

It was then that I realized,

His truths would forever shine

In the heart of his and mine.

Beautiful Soul Circle!

Sometimes I demand "Master, explain to me, in your precets and society, what this confusion is all about?" I barely touch the silence waiting for his reply and I hear his only response "I love you unconditionally."
