moyma New User (2/28/04 2:48 pm) Reply	Kryia and being infallible Was amazed to read on your site about a talk by one of the mata's, about what happens to monks when they leave SRF.Actually quoting Master about how many incarnations these monks would wonder in delusion for leaving the ashram. No one, [at least know one I saw] in there responses, brought up the fact that the monks that master was talking about where leaving him.....unlike the monks that leave today......The fact that she would even tie them together tells me just how infallible she believes the organization to be. this thread runs thru the entire organization.....it is not just the monks leaving SRF, it is anything that suggests that master is still not running the show and that they ,[ Those in charge of SRF ] are the only one's who have the clear intution to figure it out. my point here concerns Kriya and my history with it. SRF has always stated that to recieve Kriya from someone outside SRF is not to be done....that it lacks the true blessings of the Master....they say it over and over.Master came to bring Kriya to the west, and only his organization, can give this blessing.....all other's are fakes and are in it for there own ego's .Nevermind that Master gave the ability to give kriya outside the organization,[ to Peggy Deitzs for one]. When she asked "what will your organization say" Master responded 'are you following me , our the organization. ' but that is another story this concerns Kriya and my experince with it. I have recieved Kriya many times ,from Santoshananda, then Bhaktananda at mother center.....I hold these blessings deep in my heart, and will always tell new Kriyabons to get Kriya at the mother center, Masters presense permeats that place and it is a true blessing to be there..... I have also had the good fortune to have recieved Kriya from Kriyananda [the one from Ananda]. and I can also say that Master blessings do flow outside SRF. I'm not writing this to extole the virture's of Ananda or Kriyananda , but I can say this with all my heart.....master's blessings are with his Kriya. and no, it's not just his shakti or his magnatisim.....when it comes from Master you know. whenever this question comes up with SRF they always say...."well, you must be mistaken."......Well, I am not mistaken. if you don't have your personnel integrity you have nothing. So what does that tell me ? And what does that tell you ? Am I to continue to believe the things I hear coming from SRF about there Infallibility? That only they have have Master's true intentions at heart ? Or am I to stand on my own two feet and say no, Master's work is much bigger than a Organization or a community. It is my hope the you and your website can foster something new in this work, and that is a broader definition of what it means to be a member of SRF. to take it past the hard definitions of the organizations and make people realize that Masters work is much bigger than just your own loyalty.But must also embrace every heart that is seeking God and guru thru this line. Thats what Fellowship and Satsanga are all about. If this doesn't start now , What will become of this work in 100 years ? thanks ! moyma
ugizralrite (2/28/04 8:58 pm) Reply	Re: Kryia and being infallible I think you will understand when I say that since all this controversy and since gaining a view of Yogananda that includes all the revelations on walrus and elsewhere, my kriya practice and progress has accelerated in results. Which would pretty much go along with your observations. To say it yet again, the Yogananda saga has been my introduction to the possibility of finding God, and though it has led me in many directions beyond SRF dogma, without it I would never have been alerted to the possibilities of spiritual life at a young and impressionable age. I look at it all as God's way of communicating to a simpleton like myself who needed some tall tales to get my attention.
moyma New User (2/29/04 4:31 pm) Reply	Re: Kryia and being infallible My guess is most people on this board love doing there kriya's and believe in master and this work, but what comes next? one reason that SRF is not that big in India is that the Indian people don't follow people in a organization if they lack realization .why do something someone tells you to do ,if they have no realization.....In America we do it all the time.it's how we get things done. But a real ashram ? no way, you would leave....and what if the person at the top is in samadhi , as daya is supposed to be.....then does everything become written in stone ? daya says so so we must do it !...... I don't think Master works that way. it would be way to easy ! I'm not knocking Daya here but I don't think she is all the way " out" so to speak .neither was mohamad but he was still a great soul.....Infalible is a dangerous step for a oranization.....well see what happens....
redpurusha Registered User (3/1/04 6:58 am) Reply	Re: Kryia and being infallible Greetings moyma, I've read somewhere that "the teachings are infallable", and possibly it's a quote credited to SRF, but I undersdand it to imply that if you practice the teachings of Yogananda as presented by SRF you are to succeed in finding God -guaranteed. PY is quoted by Donald Walters in Essence, "I can take the most restless young men and if they follow my instructions, they would become saints within 4 or 5 years. But they would have to practice exactly like I tell them." (quoting from memory) Maybe there's more to this, referring to Daya Mata being infallable, like the pope, now that's a most dangerous position to be in - one false move and you look like a fool. He who makes himself greatest will be smallest, but he who makes himself smallest will be greatest.
moyma New User (3/1/04 1:37 pm) Reply	Re: Kryia and being infallible the thing that scare's me is not Daya being fully realized but people thinking she is when she is not.People in a high state can still make mistakes..... My gueuss is her loyalty to master and the work can be extreme at times....Everyone on this board has seen what can happen when things get to fixed..... when the order's have to file down from the top......very very very few are completly liberated.I don't like to see SRF pull the pope card, we are the only true way.....only we know master's will...... Daya {or the next leader} are in samadhi , so you have to do what they say .........That is the next step here isn't it ? And you know as well as I do that the leaders of SRF may have realization yes. but they will not be Fully liberated......Master said he would protect large groups of devotte's .SRF take on that would be only those in SRF , But what about all the others ?.and does master's protection just end there .I can't believe he would say to the people outside of the org. "sorry but this is where my blessing's end " " you can have protection but that's it." That just does't ring true and the leaders in SRF don't see it.
moyma New User (3/3/04 10:12 pm) Reply	Re: Kryia and being infallible I came onto this path by reading master's books then meditating..... then getting kryia thru the lessons...... had nothing to due with the org.untill I wanted the kriya intiation. My connection with master started long before I came in contact with the org.I came to SRF for satsang.....My point here is There has to be some contact on this earth plane with master's work....We have to serve, it's the only way out....But like the saying goes.....master doesn't care where you eat your banana..... he just wants you to eat it ! I still stay in contact with mother center, due group meditations as often as possible. and I have found a way to serve master's work..... the org. has there way..... it's way to fixed and I don't support that, but it's like master said about the body......give it it's due.....but no more.....thats how I feel about the org. give it it's due......but no more.master may work thru an org . but really ,he works thru people..... thru channels and you don't need to be in any org for that.The hardest part for me was finding a way to serve that I felt was in tune with his work..... with his teaching.... with other devotte's .....I think you can walk that line if you keep your kriya's strong.....there are other devotte's out there willing to do almost anything to be able to work with and be with other devotte's... srf is a place inside ,not something outside ..................Sounds like something master would say but that SRF can't and that is sad !!! .I hope all the monks that left the org. can find that.... It is tough, most people in the center's are so loyal to SRF and daya that even a mention of doing something that isn't santioned by the board is unheard of !.... that is the key though .....is changing the consciousness of the people in the center's.......

moyma Registered User (3/15/04 5:45 pm) Reply	Re: Kryia and being infallible What is this about the 2 coming of Christ???haven't heard that one before......I just talked to someone about how there is to much church and not enough community and I think it's true, you can get so caught up in getting the rules just right that you miss the whole point of fellowship.SRF should not be a church I don't think thats what master wanted.pope and all! maybe as the 2 and third generations come in and they stop changing the writing it will settle down and be more yogic. My guess is master will shake the place up a bit.....Seems a bit to weird right now.
