You never existed
Re: secrecy, isolation, banishment of monks.

Read or download Kriyananda's account of his departure in his biography, THE PATH, or A PLACE CALLED ANANDA. Your concerns/comments note an attitude at SRF BOD that has existed for 40 years. Ask yourself, is this what (any) Master would do?

Tom and Patricia, Fred, and Savitri
I have talked with and seen all of them recently.

Out of respect for their privacy, I wonder if it's wise to post info about what they're up to these days. But it's probably safe to say that they're all very glad they're out.

re: Savitri
In Recovery--Perhaps you can clear up something regarding Sister Savitri. I had the impression--I think from the NTLA article--that she had taken a "leave of absence" from Mother Center to go work at the SRF lawyer Flynn's office (the presumption being that she would return to MC). I guess this is not correct...? Did she, in fact, leave for all the same reasons the others left, and wasn't she on the BOD? If a BOD member has left "under protest," what does that tell us?!

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

Savitri
She was on the BOD and did work for Flynn's office for a time (significant rumor traffic about it anyway). I believe she did call it a leave of absense but they often do anyway.

The rumor traffic tells of her forced off the BOD due to a disagreement about how some devotees were treated in Encinitas. I believe that story is documented here somewhere. She left out of shock probably as much as anything else.

She was one of the "bad ladies", as far as I can tell, but they even turn on each other once in a while. Watching your back is a full time job for them. A Sr. Mridani is usually associated with the story as the knife holder in this case, or one of them.

Blessing and love to you all. :)

Keith Kelly
Dear Pig Ma,

When I first read your message about being kicked out of teaching Sunday school, I was heartbroken. It seems we both complained about SRF's suing Ananda. You could ask the Yoga Room next to the temple. Also, I thought he was really Tom Kelly. He used to give classes at the Yoga Room after he left SRF, but I doubt if they would tell you any more. I only heard that he left Encinitis. How I wish that we could get together in person, not just you and I, but others that we have talked with on this web site.

Re: Keith Kelly
xxxxxxxxxx, It looks like Tom Kelly is our beloved Brahmachari Keith! Wow oh wow. And of course we can get together! A lot of us are So. Ca. folks, and my home would be a perfect meeting place. Time will be tight for about 8 weeks, then I will be entering a new chapter in my life. I'm about to retire after 21+ years in law enforcement. Weekends are still a possibility, but I am sorry to say my email address is currently messed up. We have high speed internet, and my husband tried to switch us over to the new deal that has recently come out, and it didn't take. My email address will soon be pigmom@cox.net

As soon as my email address gets settled, I'll email Tom Kelly. He was always an inspiration. I remember writing on my notes, "This is the best talk I've heard yet" once at a service he gave. Just looking at his website gave me a warm feeling.

It's funny, I thought I would be giving a lot of time to Sunday School, Youth Retreat, etc. during my retirement. But it looks like something better is in store. Standing up for the truth is a very joyful journey! So please, no need to feel heartbroken for me. I am very happy about the whole thing. I feel heartbroken for my poor sunday school chairmen who were already short of teachers, and are now having to manage with one less.

Anyone knows this guy?
I attended a satsanga at HV by Dec/00. I don't recall the name of the monk who conducted it, but I was very pleased by what he said. Other attendees told me he was a "direct one" of StLynn, and I recall he was VERY VERY fat.
Anyone knows about who he might be and his whereabouts?

Re: Anyone knows this guy?
Wasn't there of course but based upon your physical description I'm guessing that would be Dharmananda.

I hadn't heard he is somehow a 'direct one' of St. Lynn/Rajasi. What is that supposed to mean?

Dharmananda
I also feel Dharmananda is a real person, good guy. Look at the evidence: He has been at HV for years, and at Phoenix, not up on the sacred mountain. This speaks volumes to the walrus readers. The farther from the HQ the more likely you are out of favor and therefore healthy or somewhat healthy.

Re: Dharmananda
Well, I apologize if anyone feels bad about the term "a direct one". I stated it that way because it's so utterly ridiculous how the bad ladies and their immediate entourage always stress they are "direct disciples" of PY. God is the Guru.

One more question
..that I would like to ask.
I attended another "spiritual weekend" at the Encinitas ashram in Sept/00.
We were taken care of by a slightly senior monk (who, by his bearing - that of a respectable financial advisor, if any such thing exists - and his seemingly first-hand stories of the Mother of all Compassions left the impression he was a real SRF career guy) and a younger Italian.
Utter lack of humility in both, by the way. The former was giving sunday services at Hollywood temple more recently (spring/summer '01).
Who are those guys? Please respond. Was I dealing with the true ones?

i stayed at the ashram in ranchi in '98. i was sitting outside by myself and saw bhavanandaji walking across the grounds. my first thought and impression was "wow. there walks a saintly being, a true man of God." satsang with him and other brief interactions that followed validated that impression. i recieved a letter from him from india earlier this year. i attended a wonderful talk by devananda in michigan a couple weeks ago.

That has been my experience too. Bhavananda is the real thing. He is a model for the way to live and approach life.

I found myself wondering about Bro. Santoshananda recently. Anyone know what he's up to? Several things gave me warm feelings toward him, but in particular, I was recalling his fondness for animals.

Re: Monks I wonder about
I think Bro. Santo is harmless enough. I feel he is trying hard and keeping to himself. He is not a powerful force for good in the organization but the bad ladies boot those kind out anyway. I can't see what he gets out of being there.
