Daya Mata was never appointed or selected by Yogananda to be president. The truth is that Yogananda had written in the SRF by-laws that the 3rd President was to be elected by the Board of Directors. That means a decision was to be made by the Board of Directors, not Yogananda. Yogananda had no input into that decision. Most people I talked to have never heard of this. It does not seem to be general knowledge. Why? Because SRF has lead us to believe that like Rajasi, Yogananda appointed and chose Daya Mata to be president. That just isn’t true. If we are not trying to be something more than we are, then why do we have to lie? What is wrong with the truth?
