 Only Love Can Take My Place
Master said to Daya Ma. "When I'm gone, only Love can take my place." Do you see the irony here? What took his place is not exactly love, it is "THE SHOULDS." There is very little love in the monastery. The SRF Kali Yuga monasticism cannot include positive attention. And, as Anandamoy says: LOVE IS POSITIVE ATTENTION. So, the result is obvious -- No positive attention, no love, no harmony. Sorry Ma, but discipline and training cannot take the place of love. Shoulds cannot take the place of Love. Shoulding people cannot take the place of giving them positive attention -- love. Result: You failed to follow your guru's advise -- bad girl, bad girl. But we forgive you, and Master forgives you. We love you. You did the best you could -- we are not here to should you back. But please increase those 40 dollars a month for the poor monks! A little bit of Daya will not hurt.

He didn't say WILL take my place. Hmmmm

What Master provided for the organization has not been replaced. Maybe someday there will be leadership that cares for the members and people serving.
