No clear goals and no feedback
SRF, amazing as it might seem, has no goals defined. There are no beneficial priorities and not much need to be. Their goals revolve around making sure they survive and keep their jobs.

What allows this to continue is that there is no feedback on anything they do. They live in secrecy and it is assumed that they are saints guided by God. So no one questions their decisions. They fail all the time at just about everything they try to do so they don’t try to do much. Book and videos go unpublished, temples go un-built, and costs for projects run completely wild. Look at the Master Plan fiasco. They can’t even get a building permit without upsetting their neighbors.

They have built up a powerful defense mechanism. No one gets in to see them, since they are nuns and can’t really work with men. And they are too busy or too old to meet with members, so that works out for them. They don’t publish plans or finances or any kind of status report back to the members, so that never raises questions.
