I ordered this book months ago and forgot that I discovered it on A-nanda's Crystal Clarity web page, but ordered it on the phone. Thanks for providing the link. A Word of Caution to All: The book itself is John Laurence's biography, but it barely deals with his time with Master and Kamala. Frankly, I was disappointed.
joyjoyjoy Unregistered User (2/26/02 12:15 pm) Reply	John Laurence Book I've heard from someone who knows John Laurence that JL wanted to include many stories of Master and Kamala. JL told this person that he went to Daya to ask permission to include these stories in his autobiographical book. Apparently Daya said absolutely not. JL was afraid of being sued, so he didn't include most of the stories. Bear in mind, this is a second hand story. I can't confirm whether it's true or not.
vale Unregistered User (2/26/02 12:39 pm) Reply	Daya Mata In this board with the excuse of;'I heard.....They say......someone told me(but i don't remember who...)' and so on ,you all always add some mud upon some Mother or Brother,and the moderator consider these things,because they are indirect and apparently inoffensive,clean and polite.My opinion about the Censor is that he wants to destroy SRF and even Gurudeva Paramahansa Yogananda ,erasing what he consider emotional bad reaction and letting little lies to pass.You know,little lies apparently hurt less than an open reaction,but in the end peoples who reads all this 'harmless' postings may be convinced and confused. And I'm sure this is the only porpuse why this board do exist.

One question lingers: Why did Mary Peck Stockton or Brenda Lewis Rosser get permission but not John Laurence? It's hard to know what to believe. Ms. Stockton even has a picture of herself and Daya Mata in the book and in the online adverstisement!

The SRF that Yogananda created to propagate the kriya yoga Babaji and Sri Yukteswarji sent him to America to do, and his teachings, long ago died. Today we have the SRF, new Catholic Church, where to enforce loyalty lies are made up about other renunciates who refused to go along, such as Sri Durga Mata. Check out the yogananda.net, board two to see the absolute rubbish that people are saying. We now have the Daya Mata, sanghamata, revered "Mother" SRF; where, oh yea, long ago someone named Yogananda used to have something to do with this work. But he's gone now, so she's the new successor, infalliable, and divine!

Paramahansa Yogananda is gone??Where???Please ,dear friend ,I can admit you could have had some problem with SRF,but remember that Gurudeva is omnipresent.To such a being full of glory and powers only one power is denied;the power to come and go.He simply IS.With love,Vale.

The relationship between the guru/disciple, we all know is one we believe to be eternal. And as his chela, I am aware that their is a living link there. I understand that SRF continues to say that Yogananda is the guru. Nothing is changed about that. But what I object to, having been around for quite awhile, is the ever-increasing focus upon the president. It is not what I signed up for, and that is why I write the things that I do. My hope is that SRF, after the passing of DM, will return to the focus that Yogananda left it with. Kriya yoga sadhana, his teachings through the lessons and books, and help to the members spiritually, through outreach and lecture series, and in any other way that's needed, such as a kriya yoga ministry, maybe a video of the correct way to do the EE, etc. That's it! No focus on monastic's as being 'successor's' or infalliable. Best,
