That's an interesting point. It makes me appreciative that I came across Master's teachings somewhat later in life when I had a broader worldview and greater powers of discernment than I did as an adolescent.

It's interesting that sometimes a great passion for God spontaneously awakens in some people only after many years of living a "typical" life -- when monastic life is no longer a possibility. Those who have been on this path for a while probably all have come across some extremely devoted householders who would likely have been monks or nuns had they "awakened" a little bit sooner. I guess even some highly evolved souls need experience in the real world as a sounding board for their continued spiritual unfoldment. It's sort of strange to think that having a wife, children and a mortgage can actually be beneficial to one's meditation practice, but I think it definitely can be.

So many ways to God!
