How best to serve - advice
The best way to survive is to maintain an inner feeling of personal service to Master. Serve at an outlying temple, or better yet, a small group. Even an Ananda Center or local Christian church. Take the humble duties of cleaning and helping with the garden. Don’t expect or seek to be elected leader of the group or chairman of some committee. Avoid all power and position. Kill the ego at every opportunity.

To safe guard your search for God and SRF experience avoid contact with Mother Center. Weird to say it, but that is the case. It is much easier to keep a sweet relationship with Master when the corruption of his representative organization is not mixed into your thoughts. At all costs avoid contact with the nuns and if you attend something like Convocation keep in the background and just mix with the thousands of wonderful people attending.

Keep your search for God personal. Keep it connected with Master. Focus on Master.

If you have not already been hurt, quit reading this board! Avoid Mother Center and keep to the humble devotional methods of service.

How Best To Serve
How in the world do you think that you can serve Master by continuing your association with SRF? It is everything he was opposed to. "Serving" in a remote temple somewhere isn't practicing what he told us to do.
His admonishment to us was that, as individuals, we learn to be of service to others, be kind, introspect and clean ourselves mentally and spiritually. He gave the Lessons so that we could do just that. Everything that he would admonish you to do is contained therein.

It is each individual's spiritual responsibility to accomplish this. As he said, "If you want to change the world, change yourself." That is where it begins and ends with us. The ripple effect of our attitudes and actions is what is going to set the example for others. That is the best service that you can give to the world. Attending classes and services which are under the auspices of Mother Center will keep you confused and tied to their apron strings. Don't forget, there are monastics who have been indoctrinated by MC who are officiating at those temples. Thus, the old "party line" is perpetuated to unsuspecting people of good will in attendance. Our realization isn't going to come in any way other than our own individual effort toward that end.
