Time For Them To Leave
People are less and less willing to put up with the kind of behavior like that of the “bad ladies”. For 40 years they have just told monastics and lay members to love it or leave it. Well, we want our organization back. It is time for the organization to operate based on integrity and devotion to Yogananda’s work.

Have you seen these other websites popping up with information about them, and their rather public discouraging behavior over the past year, the firings and internal problems, the 25 monastics leaving in the past months? The newspaper articles? They are out in the open now. All this is happening now for a reason.

It is time for them to leave. What we can do for the real SRF is to help that happen.

How?
I think one way to do it is to reveal their behavior to the general world, at least the membership. Questions will be raised, letters written, newspaper articles… These people go crazy when criticised. They will all start to try to cover themselves and start chopping each others heads off, politically speaking, and blame blame blame. Some will be forced out, others will quit in disgrace.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Remember the character of the people we are dealing with. This behavior, and fear of criticism, is how they got in their current state. Nature will take it’s course once the behavior is generally known.

No employees need quit, or have rally marches, or anything like that. We may even have some existing monks stand up and show some leadership.

Who??
What exisiting monks do you feel will be able to make a difference? Their Spiritual Life Committee was effectively disbanded -- some of the committee left the ashram, one is slated for India, one has retreated to Hollywood temple ashram, another just keeps on truckin', attening seminars and continuing as a revered speaker...Who the heck is left who would have any better luck in bucking the system than these guys had? And don't say Vishwananda -- the poor guy is up to his ears in unconditional reverence for Ma and has a hard time even making eye contact with some of the monks.
Who do you mean, I wonder?

Who?
Not to be too dramatic, but I am hopeful that a new leader might emerge. A backbone found, and progress made. I understand that the previous “improvement” assault on the behavior and environment, by way of the Spiritual Life groups, was crushed. But out of the 50 to 60 monks left, maybe one we don’t suspect might step forward once the crumbling gets really bad and there is an opening.

Just a dream really. I honestly don’t expect it. Just a hope and a dream.
