Thought for Today
Two aspects of one being. The human body is the microcosmic lens of God on the goings on of the world. Samadhi is the macro-cosmic lens viewing God as the Whole.

I like that. It strikes me that Zen emphasizes the microscopic lens.

Re: Thought for Today
In sleep we embrace and are embraced by blissful freedom. Through mystical practices this freedom gradually becomes a conscious experience. At first wakening we can meditate on the truth of our cosmic body, a body which octopus-like can mirror its surroundings. Unlike the octopus our boundless Self has no background to mirror. The forms taken are whimsical and arise from its limitless potential and imagination.

One of these forms is human consciousness and the human body. On rising as our feet touch the floor we are sucked into empirical awareness and drop our cosmic identity, shattering it into countless shards of world experience. Only through mystical disciplines can we consciously exit the theater of world experience and step again on to the boundless avenues and streets of cosmic Self awareness.
