Dr. Bhagat Singh Thind
Plasmafly: My boss bought himself 15 books by the same author for Xmas (he can do that cause he owns a bookstore). The author was Dr. Bhagat Singh Thind. All of them are super, same stuff as always but very well written, so well written in fact that reading such mystical works will help to heighten ones state. They are filled with glorious yabber about the Surat-Shabad--the Audible Life Stream or Nam, Nectar filled with the Holy Spirit---the Living Word. The Nam Process is the Cosmic Process, so that when one lives and acts with the Word of God one is filled with the Nectar of Imbibe Nam.

Anyway his "Troubled Mind in a Tortured World and Their Conquest" is about the reflectiveness of the world to our energy state. Its an excellent account of the principles of manifestation and feedback. Also along these lines is "Winners and Whiners in This Whirling World"...COMING SOON.

I am going to get the DVD "Science of Breathing and Glands by Dr. Bhagat which has 16 breathing exercises..."Breath is the flywheel of life:Its dynaspheric finer forces sanely used add years to life and life to years."

"The true lover of God is so intent on the creation of a new being nearer to the image of God withinn, that he has no time from grumbling about his environment."

"If your life is worth anything, it will flame to sharper power when it strikes against the dogged inertia of things, for you need resistance on which to act, and righteous resistance is the only way of living a lasting peace."

"The difficulty of gaining a clear perception of any human problem is the difficulty of seeing it impersonally, of freeing it from the habitual emotional associations that surround it. And nothing can be done as long as the person is not willing to alter the entire structure of his own mind and emotions from the ground up. Any real step forward in this life has to be not so much as step as a leap in the dark, with a dreaded moment of uncertainty in mid-air, unless one is stabilized by moral growth and has learnt to see things whole."

"No scientific law can ever compare with the discovery of the Living Word of Power, which unifies man's whole being and makes him one in nature and character with his indwelling God."

In his writings and teachings, Dr. Bhagat Singh Thind has made immense contributions toward an integral psychology, philosophy, and scientific approach to religion. Finding God is the most profitable discovery; only in God is man truly himself. If Heaven is not within, there is no Heaven. The human mind is the place where everyone has to live, and it is within this human mind that everyone has to find his only opportunity for peace, happiness, and wholeness. Division between the mind's different units is destructive and disruptive of harmony, health, and happiness. As Dr.Thind wrote, “For the human mind and its ills there is no cure, only palliatives, except one-that the mind be made whole. Only the unified mind can see things whole and see them all the time.” That which raises man above the beast and his ego-centeredness, however altruistically inclined, is neither the church nor scriptures, dogmas, and rites, nor any or all defunct founders of “religions,” neither the cudgel for the beast nor the cautioned restraint of the mentally matured, though all are necessary in their respective places. Rather, that which raises man to wholeness is the inward five-melodied music of the everlasting word of God, the Holy Năm-the Punch Shabad.
Each individual is unique, distinct, different, and divine. Nothing can save him the hardships of his own self-development. We are sub-humans until we face facts and catch them alive; meet them, greet them, and beat them, and grow through them into the Godlike stature of our souls. Only then can we become “Pillars of Powers” as we work with Chardhi-Kala of the Năm-the power of horizontal self-transcendence”

“Spirituality is also not just about Ethical or Moral living- these are merely essential 'stepping-stones'. Any wilful act creates an account ('Karma'). Bad acts create bad karma for settling which one has to go to hell (hence, handcuffs of steel), while good acts good karma for which one has to necessarily go to heaven (also handcuffs, but golden). For liberation, both bad and good karmic accounts need to be brought down to nil balance ('Nih-karma'). It is at this stage of liberation that true spirituality begins. Spirituality is also about surrender and selfless-service to the Lord (be it by spirit, mind, body or monetarily), in return for which he grants his grace and mercy. By surrendering to the Lord/Master's Will, one is no longer the 'doer', but the 'observer' of His play of life ('leela') and hence, does not incur any karma.” spirits_quest.tripod.com/Sos_SSY.htm

Jana Translation: That is by surrender to the Sound Current of the Cosmos one lives in Grace and inner division is overcome…this lack of inner division creates the Nectar and Grace. The brain does not go through its cycles of neurotoxic build up, one is able to thus transcend society and the world is made sweet around one.

Reformulation of above wordly text.

Dr. Bhagat says that man raises himself above the beast and his ego-centeredness, however altruistically inclined by the inward five-melodied music of the everlasting word of God, the Holy Năm-the Punch Shabad. That is by surrender to the Sound Current of the Cosmos one lives in Grace and inner division is overcome. This lack of inner division creates the Nectar and Grace as a consequent of sympathetic resonance of syncopated nerve activity. When the brain is “undivided” it no longer goes through its cycles of neurotoxic build up, one is thus able to transcend ones reptilian reactivity to society and the world is made sweet around one. Only when man is at-one with the Năm is man truly alive and himself, having transcended his reptilian conditioning and the sleep of conformity.

Any real transformation or evolution is a leap in the dark, but if we are disciplined in attention and devotion to Năm we are relieved of the pain of our separate-self-sense perspective to see things whole. On Whole-Seeing we no longer fear the Unknown and only the unified mind can see things whole. Hence his Sikhly advice is to follow the Universal Sound Current.

From our subjective point of view our self is composed of the parent=superego, adult=ego, child=id in ALL STATES. That is waking, dreaming and deep sleep, plus altered states. To this triad there is both the dark-bad-Thanatos aspect, and the light-good-Eros. Coupled with the Unconscious, conscious and Supraconscious. And all these factors interact to create the self and the Self.

Where we reside is related to the karma of happenstance and our response to it. Once we are able to stablize our consciousness beyond knee jerk reaction to environment, then we are able to cultivate energetic/consciousness conditions in which vast regions of our brain can fall into sync. Zohar thinks the cohering frequency is gamma 40 Hz, yet whose to say it's early days yet in the brain research domain. As we increase our "light" that is energy/consciousness we embody more of the positive-Eros qualities of the parent=superego, adult=ego, child=id triad. Also our conscious bandwidth expands to encompass more of the unconscious and superconscious.

What is Ego Death? Eliade says on page 291 of Yoga, Immortality and Freedom, that both yoga and alchemy are an experiment of “soul;” of austerely using the body as a laboratory for purification toward the final transmutation or perfection. Perfection being to “decondition life, attain freedom, bliss, the deliverance from the laws of time or immortality-ie: enlightenment. Ego death refers to the death of our resistance to enlightenment. To have mastered life is to realize-Life as Ego Death-is the glorification of the Ego not the degradation of it.

Here is a fabulous article on ego death: Death of the Ego, A Buddhist View, By David Loy www.angelfire.com/electro...a/ego.html

Roger Penrose considers consciousness to be a subatomic phenomena of wave function self-collapse via quantum gravity, whatever that means. Quantum gravity describes the interaction of gravity with the three other fundamental forces: electromagnetic, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force. Cells communicate with each other, and the vibratory energy reaches within the cell via the cytoskeleton and microtubules. Microtubules are structural components that are part of the neuron cell cytoskeleton and brain cells are particularly rich in them. They are cylindrical protein lattice assemblies of tubulin molecules in which the “quantum computations” of consciousness are reputed to take place.

The Penrose-Hameroff model proposes that internal quantum events occurring within tubulin in cooperative interaction with each other, are the bridge between subatomic quantum events and molecular “classical” reality. Stuart Hameroff says “Consciousness exists on the edge between the quantum and classical worlds.” He believes that we plug into the universal proto-conscious mind through this quantum activity in the microtubules. “I think more like a quantum Buddhist, in that there is a universal proto-conscious mind which we access, and can influence us. But it actually exists at the funda-mental level of the universe, at the Planck scale.” Hameroff

Neurotransmission provides input and out put from the quantum processes in the microtubules of neurons. Like Stuart Hameroff I think that consciousness at its most subtle material form is conducted within quantum processes. This is then translated into the classical chemistry of nerves, synapses, receptors, neurotransmitters, hormones and the like. And so the endless variety of thought, behavior and experience of manifestation unfolds.

"Pre-conscious (unconscious/subconscious) information exists as quantum superpositions - multiple coexisting possible actions or experiences - which, upon reaching a specified threshold at the moment of consciousness/self-collapse, choose a particular action or experience." Stuart Hameroff

When Hameroff starts talking of a Proto-mind to the Universe at the Planck Scale it sounds rather like modern physics is confusing the zero-point vacuum with the mind of God...and solving that will give one neuron burn.
