Waltzing in Heaven
Here's some new lyrics I wrote for a famous old rocknroll song. I always felt the tune was very uplifting, even spiritual, but the original lyrics described a confused drunk at a party, which didn't seem to match at all. So here's my version, for any to enjoy who might. I've kept as many of the original words as possible, as reference points, and also to maintain some continuity. I've renamed it, Waltzing in Heaven:

Skip a light fandango
Turn cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feelin' pretty blissful,
But my soul cried out for more
The OM was humming harder
And the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another dream
The angels came to play.

And so we waltzed, elated,
As Valmiki told his tale,
That my wings at first just ghostly,
Turned a brighter shade of pale.

She showed me every reason
And the Joy is plain to see
As I wandered through Her cosmos,
Which I would later be,
Of the sixteen yogic virtues
Which one chelas cherish most?
And although my eyes were open
They might just as well be closed.

And so we waltzed, elated,
As Valmiki told his tale,
How my wings at first just ghostly,
Shone a brighter shade of pale.
