Shamanism: I have responsibly experimented with using various entheogens for 25 years now -- and they have been an essential and integral part of my journey to finding my true path. I was first introduced to using entheogenic substances in a spiritual ritual setting, and they have always been to me "sacred" substances that should be treated with respect. Psilocybin Cubensis was the first entheogen that I experienced, and continues to be one I occasionally use in ceremonial settings. For many years, I was devoutly loyal to the "natural" entheogens while at the same time being against use of all synthetic substances. Then I got to doing some reading and research on mushrooms -- and found that they contain not only the entheogenic molecules psilocybin and psilocin -- but they also contain poisons --arsenic, strychnine, and others. I have never had any detrimental effects from eating mushrooms, but knowing that I was eating poisons with my entheogen made it seem less appealing. Finding this out made me wonder what an experience with pure psilocybin would be like in comparison to an experience with the mushrooms. So -- I tried some synthetic psilocybin. It was much more "clean and natural" feeling than the mushrooms and seemed to have more "clarity" -- with none of the drowsiness, tremors, and nausea that is often a part of a heavy mushroom experience. Then, I wondered if there would be any difference in the effects of synthetic psilocybin and natural organic psilocybin that had been extracted from mushrooms. The effects of the synthetic and the organic were almost indistinguishable. I think that the reason most people prefer the organic entheogens is that -- even with their natural poisons -- they are often "cleaner" and less toxic than the average synthetic entheogens found on the street. I have become more open-minded to synthetic entheogen use -- IF the synthetic entheogen is of good purity.
I have slowly and haphazardly made some progress on my path to awakening for many years. I had a "personal profound experience" in February 1980 that changed my life(while NOT using entheogens). An experience that was somehow predestined -- a Divine intervention that opened my mind's eye -- awakened me to my true self -- I met someone that was a part of my "group of three" -- showed me my true purpose -- an enlightenment experience that left me greatly humbled. I was unfortunately left with a very sketchy memory of the experience immediatly afterward -- much like waking from a dream and not remembering it clearly. Entheogenic ceremonies that I have had occasionally over the years since then have brought SOME clarity and understanding to what I was presented with during that first experience; and has helped me to become more in tune with my intuitive sense. I have had 2 more "experiences" since that first one(during entheogenic ceremonies), each different from the first, but related. In each of these experiences -- it is my higher self -- my inner self -- that is being presented with this information -- while my current egoself dissolves into illusion. Each time -- left with only bits and pieces of the insights and revelations that I had actually thought I had "grasped" at the time I was perceiving and realizing them. So much information and so little understanding. But the understanding that I have is without a doubt much greater than that I would have been able to attain without the use of such aids.
THEN -- about a year ago -- God was gracious enough to let me experience some 5-MeO-DMT (the active molecule in the ayahuasca brew of the South American shaman). It is by FAR the most profound entheogen that I have ever experienced. Pretty much an out-of-body level 4 transcendental experience. Within a couple of minutes of beginning my first experience, I had finally found the answers to all of the questions that I had been looking to find for many years. The purpose and meaning of all of my previous experiences became clear -- My higher life purpose -- the way that every event in my life had synchronistically led to this moment and this awakening. 5-MeO-DMT dissolves the boundaries of the ego's reality, opens the mind's eye, and brings into perception all that IS. Too much to relate all of it here in this message -- LOL. Another very noticable difference between the 5-MeO-DMT experience and the experiences that I have previously had with ANY other entheogen is the clarity that I am left with after the experience. Insights and realizations that are experienced are actually recallable to memory afterwards. I have only experienced it 5 times -- gaining tremendous progress on my path to full awakening each time. The last time I experienced it was over 6 months ago now.....and the realizations and insights that I gained are still clear and have become a part of my day to day thinking and perceptual processes. From that perspective -- I can see from the inside out -- the life lessons that I must learn and the deficiencies in my own psyche that must be corrected in order for me to become whole -- deficiencies that must be overcome to gain full awakening. The ego tends to hide it's own deficiencies from itself, and doesn't really want to have to hassle with facing it's life lessons. This entheogen takes you out of the egoself and into the perspective of the higher self where these issues can easily be seen, faced, delt with, and resolved -- while feeling secure and safe sensing the unmistakeable presence of the All -- the All Oneness of the permeating Power of Pure Love.
I have researched synthetic 5-MeO-DMT and it's "Teacher Plant" organic alternative -- the Ayahuasca brew. It seems to me that the synthetic 99.5% pure 5-MeO-DMT experience seems to have all of the beneficial entheogenic qualities of the Ayahuasca brew, but without the severe nausea and other unpleasant side effects associated with using the "natural" organic Ayahuasca Brew. I have yet to experience organic 5-MeO-DMT that has been extracted from plant material.
I would not be writing this here to everyone unless I really felt that this entheogen is a valuable and viable tool to helping people to finding their true path to awakening.
WARNING: Not to be used while operating an automobile or heavy machinery
(Highly recommended to have a competent sitter/guide to oversee experience)
