Last night for the first time I saw Ram Dass with Krishna Das in concert. It was a sacred event. They both spoke beautifully of their guru Neem Karoli Baba. Ram Dass said he had a picture of George Bush on his altar to remind himself of the perfection of his soul despite a remarkably lousy incarnation. Krishna Das said, "I went to India wanting to be Hindu at a hundred miles an hour, but Maharishi made us study the Bible. A new disciple asked Maharishi for a mantra and was told to go meditate like Jesus. So we thought that we would just ask Maharishi how Jesus meditated, and he would teach us this great secret. His answer was simply, 'Jesus lost himself in love. He never died.'"
