Isolation
Does SRF encourage its members to isolate themselves and break relationships with friends and family that are not on the path? Is this in the lessons or is it something the monks at the temple say?

Re: Isolation
The separation is part of the cult-like practices that the bad ladies have put into place. This is very much encouraged in the ashram and bleeds over into the members who want to think of themselves as near monastics. Some of the cultish attitudes of SRF members also tend to separate members from family anyway such as the religious arrogance and secrecy of teachings.

I don’t believe anything like that is in the actual words of Yogananda and the monks don't directly encourage it in public lectures to my knowledge. The public voice is the attitude that all religions are the same and good and equal. This is done with a wink wink and good devotees pick up that by saying SRF is equal they are just being humble. SRF is of course the airplane route, the highest.

If you apply for the Lessons or higher techniques and claim to be following other paths or seriously reading other stuff you are in trouble.
