Google bows to Scientology's DMCA request, yanks critics'...
I think this is a dangerous precedent. Please see if you concur:

Re: Google bows to Scientology's DMCA request, yanks critics
I just did a search on google, search words: xenu.net, and found the site that is "fighting against Scientology on the net". So it works for now. I have no interest in Scientology and wish to have nothing to do with it. But if their aims are to control the mass media and key political figures than that worries me. I have never been involved in this "church" so I can't say much about it, but from what I do know and have seen, its a network that is a danger to society and the people involved. Scientology is one of the few, if only organizations that makes me cringe whenever I even hear its name. I once saw a show on TV where they celebrated their achievement in getting "church" status, and therefore being tax-exempt (on some levels). It appeared to me like a business that just got itself tax exemption.

I think you showed SRF the way! Someone has taken all the Walrus links off of Google. I wonder who requested that?

perhaps you can request Google to supply you with that information.

or better yet, get the Walrus listed under all search engines.

Probably even better, would be to advertise on the bus benches near the temples. OR run an advertisement in the local newpapers as Yoganandarediscovered does.

Perhaps we all could chip in.

going forward
Walri.

We are meeting soon in No. Calif.
We will post once a week in "Meeting Place."
Any suggestions, Username's and other can be aired. We expect to regularly meet in unstructured, open community/colony potlucks 4 times a year close to the equinoxs and solistices.
We have already enjoyed visits in each others homes. Word of mouth is in gear.
A suit is mentioned often and may happen, now prior to any class action we can look explore and put into action alternatives like a wildfire of things such as potlucks in addition to the flurry of emails and phone calls. While I now have engaged in phone calls with three Walri, I have emailed more Walri (directly) than I remember at the moment.

Article is entitled "Gagged By Google"; excerpt:
Quote:
But far from a free-speech paradise, the Internet is fast becoming the next corporate- controlled universe, going the way of cable TV or publishing. As long as censors operate as gatekeepers, dissenters can speak all they like -- but they won't be heard.

I have written a letter to Google claiming that SRF is a mindless cult and asked that their -srf.org website be removed from the Google search engine. I mentioned that there might be a class action lawsuit by former employees and members.
